What Rhodex is
Rhodex Canada ("Rhodex") connects clients with independent craftsmen. Craftsmen listed on Rhodex are independent contractors, not employees or agents of Rhodex. Rhodex is not a party to any service agreement between a client and a craftsman.
Craftsman documentation
Licenses, certifications, and other documentation submitted by craftsmen are accepted in good faith. Rhodex performs the checks described in our verification summary at onboarding, but does not continuously monitor ongoing validity. Craftsmen are solely responsible for the accuracy of documentation they submit, and agree to indemnify Rhodex against claims arising from false or invalid documentation. Full detail on this allocation of responsibility is set out in our craftsman agreement.
No guarantee of work quality
Rhodex facilitates introductions between clients and craftsmen. We do not perform, supervise, or guarantee the work performed by any craftsman.
Warranty on completed work
Completed jobs carry a 365-day warranty (30 days for plumbing and electrical). This warranty period begins only once the client has paid for the job in full — it does not begin at job completion or craftsman sign-off, and a job that has not been paid in full carries no warranty coverage.
The warranty covers defects in the craftsman's labor and workmanship only. It does not cover failure, defect, or deterioration of materials, fixtures, or products used on the job, regardless of who supplied them. If a warranty claim is caused by defective or failed materials rather than workmanship, neither Rhodex nor the craftsman is responsible for it.
There is no self-serve warranty claim form. To report a warranty issue, contact Rhodex directly at support1@rhodex.ca. Rhodex investigates every reported issue and determines the appropriate resolution.
Acceptable use
- Provide accurate information when creating a profile or submitting a request.
- Don't use Rhodex for unlawful purposes or to misrepresent your identity or qualifications.
- Don't attempt to circumvent the platform to avoid its verification or fee processes once those are in place.
Content & intellectual property
Everything on rhodex.ca and the Rhodex platform — including text, descriptions, design, source code, and the way the platform works — belongs to Rhodex Canada or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other applicable law. You may not scrape, systematically extract, copy, or reproduce this content, in whole or in part, to build or operate a competing product or service, or for any other commercial purpose. Automated access beyond normal, individual browsing (bulk scraping, bot traffic, and similar) is not permitted without our prior written consent. Rhodex reserves the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including damages and injunctive relief, against anyone who violates this section.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rhodex is not liable for damages arising from a craftsman's work, conduct, or documentation. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Rhodex evolves. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
