Why we built it

The way most home-service platforms work today doesn't actually work for the people on either end of the job. Contractors get charged for every lead whether it turns into work or not, homeowners get connected to whoever happened to buy that lead first, and neither side ends up better off. Rhodex is built the other way: a real office prices every job before anyone's dispatched, every craftsman is actually verified, and we say plainly what we haven't built yet instead of pretending otherwise.

Finding a tradesperson usually means guesswork — a name from a group chat, a search result with no real information behind it. Rhodex gives you a clear profile before you ever pick up the phone: credentials, experience, specialty, and past work, laid out plainly.

For craftsmen

Rhodex is a place to build a real reputation. Show your qualifications and your work, and reach clients who are already looking for exactly your trade — not cold leads, not a race to the bottom on price. How verification works

We're upfront about what "verified" means on Rhodex, because overstating it would help no one.

• At onboarding, we review the format and completeness of submitted licences and certifications, and where a public registry exists for that trade, we cross-check the licence number and name against it.
• What this confirms: the document appears valid and matched a registry entry at the time of the check.

• We encourage both clients and craftsmen to independently verify current licence status through the applicable public registry before relying on any credential.

Is there a warranty on completed work?

Yes. Completed jobs carry a 365-day warranty (30 days for plumbing and electrical), which begins once you've paid for the job in full. It covers the craftsman's labor and workmanship, not material failure — if a claim is due to bad materials rather than workmanship, Rhodex and the craftsman aren't responsible for it. There's no self-serve claim form — contact us directly and we'll investigate and resolve it.

How do I get a quote, and when do I pay?

Submit a job request and a Rhodex office team member prepares a priced quote before any work begins. You review and approve the quote and save a card, but it isn't charged until you confirm the job is complete.

How do I become a craftsman on Rhodex?

Apply with your trade, experience, and credentials at support1@rhodex.ca or through the craftsman application form. Once vetted, you're matched to job requests in your trade and area.
